Red, Amber and Green

Road traffic signals are color coded Red, Amber and Green and they have been understood well by road users. However I noticed same color code having been used in Eureka Forbes 'Aqua Guard' a water treatment gadget. As soon as power is switched on Red LED lights; when water is let in to the filters for treatment Amber LED comes up and finally when water flows out for collection Green LED is appears and continues till the gadget is switched off.
