Born to G.Naniappa & Lakshminarasamma in Kanakapura, Bangalore, Sri Satyanarayana Rao
after completing his B.Sc. from the Central College, Bangalore joined the P&T Dept. After training. in Engineering Supervision for one year, he was posted as Engineering Supervisor, Telegraphs and rose to the rank of Deputy General Manager, Telecom ,when he retired in ‘I993. He has worked in places like Junagadh, Hubli, Bangalore, Chicmagalur, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam & Kozikode.

After retirement he evinced interest in Computers & is now engaged in helping digitalising Kannada books in
text format for the website , a voluntary organisation to popularise Kannada
literature on the web. He has scanned, OCRed and corrected the mistakes in machine OCR texts of more
than 10000 pages of Kannada books. Besides this,he has also attended Vedaparayana classes for ten
years , attends spiritual lectures regularly. He appreciates the programs- medicalcamps.

Born to N.Nagaraiarao & Sharada, in our own Bangalore, Raialakshmi iustifiably prides in calling
herself a homemaker who has dedicated all her time to her husband to go up in his career & making her
daughters good professionals & citizens. Her hobbies are cooking, crafts & listening to good music.

The Raos have two daughters who are software engineers settled in San Jose, USA:

1) Nityaprabha Somayaii-- is married to Venkatesh Somayaii, a software engineer& they have two
children: Medha & Mihir.

2) Nikhila Modi --is married to Harith Modi, a software engineer & they have two children: Taarika
& lshika. '

Jnanaiyothi wishes the Raos a long, healthy 8.
